Underwater Treasure Hunter Course

 

The purpose of the NDL Underwater Treasure Hunter Course is to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of excavation, recovering, cleaning and restoration underwater artifacts such as a coins, ceramics, bottles, anchors etc.

The goals of NDL Underwater Treasure Hunter training are:

·        To develop the student's practical knowledge of researching underwater artifacts.

·        To raise the student's awareness of the historical value of underwater artifacts, and of social and legal issues surrounding that value.

·        To enable the student to organize and safely conduct the excavation and recovering underwater artifacts with properly equipment within depths and conditions as good as or better than those he is been trained in.

·        To enable the student to clean and to restore underwater artifacts such as coins, ceramics, bottles, anchors etc.
